More than 1000 foreign language certificates were not approved

It is known that applicants with a national or international certificate of level B2 or higher in a foreign language are given the maximum score for admission to higher education institutions without exams in a foreign language.

For this, applicants enter the information of this certificate into the system during online registration, and their certificates are checked by experts.

More than 29,000 foreign language certificates were uploaded to the system by applicants during the online registration process of this year.

When the certificates were checked by experts of the State Test Center, it was found that 955 certificates do not meet the requirements (most of them are not foreign language certificates).

Also, 56 certificates were found to be fake, and relevant information was prepared and presented to the law enforcement authorities.

44 of the forged certificates are IELTS, 9 national, 2 HSK and 1 TOEFL iBT certificate.

It should be noted that this year the number of applicants with a national or international certificate (certificates approved) in a foreign language was 28,116. This is 17,468 or 2.6 times more than in 2021 (10,648 in 2021).
