In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On additional measures to improve the testing system" (No. 562, September 17, 2020), a state institution "Scientific-Educational Center" (Research Center) will be established under State Test Center.
The purpose of the center is to organize training courses on testology and pedagogical measures, and foreign languages, cooperation with leading international organizations in the field, to establish a regional scientific school of testology in Central Asia.
The following are the main tasks of the Research Center:
- development of test materials and determination of their quality, publication of research results in the field of testology and pedagogical measurements;
- training of item writers specialists in the development of test materials and their quality, establishing cooperation in this regard with local and international higher education institutions;
- shortterm and long-term courses on a contractual basis on testology, pedagogical measurements, training of students in foreign languages, and organization of diagnostic tests;
- development of proposals for the creation of a national system based on the study of foreign experience, the creation of the necessary conditions for individuals conducting research in the field of testology and pedagogical measurements;
- organization and conduct of examinations in cooperation with international examination organizations.
