According to Presidential Decree "On measures to improve the quality of education and research in mathematics":
- specialized schools will gradually be established for in-depth teaching of mathematics in each district (city);
- in specialized schools, students are selected on a competitive basis in the prescribed manner;
- graduates of classes with in-depth study of mathematics are admitted to the relevant higher education institutions in accordance with the target parameters set for them in the areas of mathematics education;
- by January 1, 2021, a national certification system for assessing the level of knowledge in mathematics will be developed;
- assessment of the level of knowledge of mathematics and the issuance of a national certificate of competence is carried out by State Test Center in the prescribed manner;
- an applicant with a national certificate at a privileged level is exempted from taking a math test when entering a public university and is given a maximum score for math;
- from September 1, 2021, teachers of mathematics in specialized schools are required to have a national certificate of the appropriate level;
- mathematics teachers with the appropriate level of national certification (except for mathematics teachers in specialized schools) are paid a monthly bonus of 25% to 50% of the base salary, depending on the location of the public educational institution where they work.
