A draft resolution on the parameters of the state order of admission to universities has been announced

The draft resolution "On the parameters of the state order of admission to higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the 2022-2023 academic year" has been announced on the portal for discussion of draft regulations of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

The draft resolution envisages, for the first time in Uzbekistan, a separate state order for distance education.

According to the resolution, it is proposed to approve the following parameters of the state order for the 2022-2023 academic year:

a) for bachelors:

  • full-time education - 76,728;
  • part-time education - 27,365;
  • for evening education - 2,575;
  • distance learning - 3,610;

b) for training Master’s Degree – 11 082;

v) 100 people for training on the basis of state grants in foreign higher education institutions and their branches, as well as non-governmental higher education institutions.

The draft resolution also states that from the 2023-2024 academic year:

  • approval of state order parameters for all state higher education institutions only on state grants;
  • Contract-based admissions are proposed for independent approval in consultation with relevant ministries and agencies, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
